On June 4th, the youngest member of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s family, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor,
marked a significant milestone—her very first birthday.
This special occasion brought the family back to the UK for heartfelt celebrations with her great-grandmother,
Queen Elizabeth II, alongside her parents and older brother, Archie.
Despite initial hesitations to share personal moments from the celebration, the overwhelming joy among guests led to the release of Lilibet’s first official photos online. Captured amidst the festivities, one particularly adorable photo shows Lilibet seated in the grass, donning a lovely blue dress complemented by a white headband, her smile radiating the unmistakable charm inherited from her father, Prince Harry.
A comparison with Prince Harry’s own childhood photos reveals a striking resemblance at the same age, highlighting the strong genetic ties within the family. The birthday gathering was an intimate affair, attended by close family and friends, including Zara and Mike Tindall with their children, who all joined in the festivities that featured face painting for the kids and a custom cake from a renowned London baker.
Although Prince William, Catherine, and their children were among the invitees, their commitments to the Queen’s Platinum Anniversary events prevented their attendance. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their children, took this opportunity to also partake in the celebrations of the Queen’s historic anniversary before returning to their Montecito home in California.
