With a paint-splattered smock and a palette, Pierce Brosnan, who will age 71 on May 16, has been expanding his repertoire of talents in recent years.
After captivating audiences with his onscreen performances for more than four decades, the Irish actor produced over 300 works of art and held his debut solo exhibition “So Many Dreams” in 2023.
“I have been painting since ’87 and it’s very therapeutic,” Brosnan told Vanity Fair in May 2023. My life’s path has been illuminated by painting. The canvas is my refuge from anxiety. In addition to being a source of delight, it also provides me comfort.
Initially reluctant to share his work, the James Bond actor reveals that his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, was the one who pushed him to do it.
I had never considered showing my paintings to the public till Smith recorded everything and suggested, ‘Let’s attempt for a display.’ She is deeply involved with the work, its celebration, and her passion for it.
